Eco Concepts Asia Ltd and all its staffs have pledged and participated The Hong Kong No Air Con Night 2011, the annual energy saving event held by Green Sense, on 29th September, 2011.
Despite of typhoon no.8, our team still practiced our pledge in no air con from 7pm to 7am at their various locations, took action in saving energy and reducing carbon emission together. Reduction and wise use of air-conditioning is an important lesson for all of us, particularly in hong kong.
Each 9,000 BTU/h air conditioner unit consumed 0.8-1 Kwh per hour, and emit 5.6kg of Carbon dioxide in 8 hours.

The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is a global effort to keep our oceans, rivers, lakes and streams free from trash and safe for people and animals.
1.1 million kg of plastic enters the ocean every hour of every day, killing more than 1.5 million sea animals a year. With plastic bags, bottles and foodware as the top 3 debris items found on Hong Kong beaches.
Eco Concepts Asia Ltd. has joined the International Coastal Cleanup 2011 kickoff event on September 17, 2011, organized by Ecovision Asia (their 11th year of organising the ICC), sponsored by Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. The team led by Joseph Shikany, our Environmental Products Sales, had won the best team chemistry award, and they have collected 10 bags of trash weighing approximately 35 kgs.

Centre for Health Protection declared that Hong Kong is facing an epidemic of scarlet fever in the coming months. Streptococcus Pyogenes Group A, the bacteria that causes scarlet fever has mutated and may account for its unusual contagiousness and severity. Scarlet Fever is spread through saliva, nasal excretions or skin contact. People, especially children, are advised to maintain good personal hygiene, wash hands properly, cover their mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, properly dispose garbage that may contain nasal excretions, keep good ventilation and maintain good cleaning practices in public areas, schools, summer classes, playgrounds and households.

We are please to announce that Green Concepts products have been awarded the Environmental Choice Australia EcoLabel by the Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA), a not-for profit organisation that dedicates to reduce environmental harm by promoting the production and consumption of environmentally preferable products and services.
The Good Environmental choice Label is the only Environmental Labelling program in Australia which indicated the environmental labelling program in Australia which indicates the environmental performance of a product from a whole of product life perspective for consumer goods.
